As I tried to decide on what to call this blog, the title ‘The Journey Continues’ resonated deeply with me. It hit me that my friends often tell me I show no signs of slowing down, and I couldn’t agree more.
During the challenges of COVID, I embarked on a journey of self-expression through blogging. With no particular expectations in mind, my sole purpose was to share my life experiences. If my words could inspire even one individual, that would be more than enough for me.
Since my last update on my journey, a whirlwind of events has taken place. I am honored to have been appointed to several boards, significantly broadening my capacity to serve my country. These roles have not only expanded my reach but have also served as invaluable learning experiences that have enriched my understanding of community and governance.
In addition, I am proud to share that I have completed my training and graduated as a Restorative Justice Officer through the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. What does that entail, you may wonder? In simple terms, a Restorative Justice Officer plays a pivotal role as a facilitator in what is known as a Victim/Offender Conference. This process often involves community members or family members, coming together to work towards a common goal: healing. The aim is to reach a mutual agreement that might help resolve conflicts without escalating the situation to court.

After five years of active service, I reflect on the extraordinary journey I have experienced. I have gained profound insights and personal growth along the way. Life in the army certainly has its challenges, but it has equally been rewarding in unexpected ways. I will genuinely miss my incredible team, whose unwavering support has made my time in the communication unit a memorable experience. I look forward to witnessing their growth as they pursue their respective paths within the force.
I firmly believe that God has blessed me with unique talents and illuminating experiences, both of which have profoundly shaped who I am. After much prayer and reflection, I have decided to embrace this new phase of my journey as an opportunity to earn a living and continue making an impact.

Am I approaching this new chapter with fear? Not at all. Instead, I am filled with excitement and openness to the possibilities that await.
The word blessed barely scratches the surface of how I feel, and it is certainly magnified by the unwavering love and support from my family and friends, whom I consider family.
Slowing down? What is that?
For as long as I can remember, my life has been intertwined with some level of service. I am now more than ready to step into my purpose, just as God intended.
As I move forward, I will continue to Live, Love, and Laugh.
